I am an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I have a dental degree and practiced general dentistry after graduating from dental school at the University of Nebraska. After three years I returned to school and received an MD degree and completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. I am licensed in both medicine and dentistry and board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I have practiced in Billings for thirty three years. My practice included the full scope of oral surgery including facial trauma, reconstructive surgery, pathology, extractions and dental implants. The implant practice grew to be one of the largest in Montana.
One of the most satisfying parts of my practice has been the ability to offer the full range of oral surgery services from the very high end with implants and complete restoration of patients’ smile and function to the very simple treatments like extracting teeth that are beyond repair and are causing great pain. I have worked with the Donated Dental Services throughout my time in practice to donate my services to patients who do not have the financial ability to pay. For my entire time in practice I have been a provider for Medicaid to make my services available to patients who are struggling to make ends meet.
With this new practice our goal is to combine our skills and experience to bring the surgical, restorative and laboratory portions of our patient care under one roof.
My two greatest joys are my family, and then my work. I have a confession to make. I am at times embarrassed to admit that I live on a golf course, but I don’t golf. I live in Montana, and love Montana, but I don’t hunt and I don’t ski. We have raised six children who have brought us great happiness over the years. And now we have grandchildren ranging from nearly one year old to college juniors. Now they fill our house with the same sounds of laughter, playing and chaos that their parents did years ago.
One of our favorite ways to relaxation is spending time in our little cabin on the Boulder River. The sounds of the river in front of our cabin and the wind blowing through the pine trees rejuvenate us. We balance our time working to maintain the area around our cabin and relaxing, reading and enjoying the beauty of the surroundings.
With this new practice our goal is to combine our skills and experience to bring the surgical, restorative and laboratory portions of our patient care under one roof. We believe that by using the most advanced technology along with our experience we will be able to deliver to our patients the highest quality of care available anywhere in the world at a reasonable price.
