Experience the Difference of a Specialist

There aren’t a lot of general dentists who place zygomatic implants. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are the experts when it comes to these full arch dental replacements, and Dr. Bennion is one of a select few in the country who routinely performs this surgery. Because we offer this specialized solution, we may be able to help you, even if you were previously told you were a poor candidate for dental implants!

What Are Zygomatic Dental Implants?

Conventional dental implants are attached to the jawbones using titanium or zirconia posts. Zygomatic implants, however, attach to the zygomatic bones of your cheek. Because of the strength and stability of this facial bone, you can often support a fixed row of teeth without bone grafts and other intensive procedures. Because zygomatic implants are so complex, very few oral surgeons are trained in this procedure, but Dr. Bennion places zygomatic implants regularly in Belgrade, MT. He is also trained in pterygoid implants, in which the dental implants are inserted into the pterygoid plate, near the “hinge” of the jaw.

There are a lot of benefits to zygomatic dental implants:

With zygomatic dental implants from our oral surgeons at Premier Choice Dental Center, you can permanently improve your quality of life in as little as a day!

What to Expect from Zygomatic Dental Implants

While zygomatic implants may sound more invasive and painful than traditional dental implants, there are a lot of reasons why they are a superior solution for many of our patients. One reason is that they can be placed in a single procedure while you are under anesthesia, without needing to wait for bone grafts to take. During your consultation, Dr. Bennion will use 3D cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans to get a digital map of your mouth, then plan exactly where your implants will best fit. He will then place these implants in your zygomatic or pterygoid bones, as well as any necessary conventional implants that may be needed in areas with denser bone. Because this all happens in a single procedure, you have a faster recovery time than you would with bone grafting, and in most cases, you can leave your procedure with a temporary set of replacement teeth. With zygomatic dental implants from our oral surgeons at Premier Choice Dental Center, you can permanently improve your quality of life in as little as a day!
